The following patient stories have been compiled to demonstrate the impact of Cushing’s syndrome on patients’ lives. By elevating patients’ voices, we hope to raise awareness of the burden of disease so that all people can have a greater understanding of how these burdens can be addressed and ultimately improve patients’ quality of life.

Meet Teresa. She is a 55-year-old woman living in Naples, Italy.  

Teresa suffers from Cushing’s disease, a form of Cushing’s Syndrome where the excess of cortisol is due to a pituitary tumor.

Ada’s story of living with Cushing’s

Meet Ada. She is a 50-year-old woman living in Rome, Italy.

After a long journey she was diagnosed with ACTH independent Cushing’s Syndrome, a particular form where cortisol is overproduced because of the abnormality of the adrenal glands.
